If there’s one thing I will never stop preaching, it’s this:
Your Mornings Build Your MOMENTUM.
Not your motivation.
Not your “New Year, new me” energy.
Not your once-a-week burst of inspiration.
Your mornings.
And no, I’m not talking about a 47-step routine that requires silence, sunrise, and a thousand rituals.
I’m talking about a morning ritual rooted in identity, longevity, nervous system regulation, and next-level energy.
A ritual that built my life, not because it’s perfect… but because it’s consistent.
A ritual that carried me through reinventions, motherhood, burnout, business pivots, and even shoulder surgery when life tried to slow me down.
This is my morning ritual that changed everything.
Why Your Morning Ritual Matters More Than You Think
Your morning is the first evidence you give your brain about who you are becoming.
It’s the moment you choose:
Am I operating from my old identity… or my next-level one?”
The science is simple:
* Your cortisol is highest in the morning (use it).
* Your brain is most responsive (leverage it).
* Your nervous system sets its baseline for the day (regulate it).
And if you’re a mum, a business owner, or a woman juggling 17 tabs open in her brain, a morning ritual isn’t “nice”… it’s essential.
My Exact Next-Level Morning Ritual
Simple. Powerful. No fluff.
Wake With Intention (Not Chaos)
Before I touch my phone, I take three grounded breaths.
Not spiritual. Not dramatic. Just three grounded breaths to reset.
It signals:
I choose the energy I lead with today.
Hydration + Minerals
Water, electrolytes, minerals.
Your cells need fuel before your brain gets caffeine. It is so simple: Squeeze 1/2 lemon in water with a pinch of Himalayan salt.
This one step alone improves energy, cravings, and mental clarity.
Light Exposure
Sun on my face. OR 10 Minutes on my Infrared Light.
Even if it’s one minute.
Longevity 101.
Regulates hormones, boosts dopamine, anchors your circadian rhythm, all the fun anti-aging stuff.
Movement (My 1% Rule in action)
If I’m surfing, heaven (usually saved for early weekend mornings.)
If I’m on a recovery day, a fast walk.
If I’m training, strength.
If I’m busy, 5 minutes of mobility. However to be honest I am never too busy for movement, as I prioritise.
It’s not about the workout.
It’s about sending my brain the message:
I prioritise movement.
My Non-Negotiable Mindset Shift
One journal prompt or micro-reframe:
“What does Next-Level Me choose today?”
OR
“What’s the 1% shift I can make?”
This keeps me out of autopilot and into identity.
High Protein Breakfast (Hormone Support)
If you know, you know.
Protein builds energy, stabilises mood, supports hormones, and keeps you out of mid-morning crash town.
My smoothie is my go-to (and yes, creatine always).
The Most Important Part (Read This Twice)
Your morning ritual does NOT need to be long. It does NOT need to be perfect. And it does NOT need to look like mine.
It only needs two things:
+ It grounds you.
+ It moves you toward your next-level identity.
That’s it.
Because when your morning shifts… your life shifts.
If You’re Starting From Zero
Pick ONE of these:
* 1 minute of breath
* 1 glass of lemon + salt water
* 1 minute of sunrise sunlight gazing
* 1 protein breakfast
* 1 walk around the block
* 1 mindset shift
Then build up.
Remember:
Your next-level life is not created in big dramatic gestures.
It’s created in daily identity choices, starting with your morning.
